Tahu Goreng Tepung

Try to be involved in Indonesian Food Blogger Challenge on Facebook, i put this post as one of indonesian snack. For the first challenge, I made gudeg jogja. And now for the second one, I made this simple food called tahu goreng tepung. Always love simple and easy cooked food but don’t under estimated this kind of food, the taste is so yummy. It’s crunchy and tasty even you just put garlic powder and salt. For people who likes spicy, you can eat with hot chili.


1 pack tofu


garlic powder

corn flour

1 egg, beaten


1. Marinated tofu with garlic powder and salt.

2. Fried tofu or you can buy tofu that already fried.

3. Put tofu in the corn flour, then in the egg, then put it again in the flour.

4. Deep fried all of them until its turn the color into golden brown.

Chocolate Chiffon Cake

Chiffon Cake was really my own favorite cake. This time I took the recipe from Sedap Sekejap magazine (Sedap Sekejap Edisi 3/III/2002). I brought this magazine from my country 🙂 Actually I grabbed some of my mother’s magazines 🙂 Actually i took the recipe of Chiffon Cake Polos but i modified a bit with chocolate paste, then it would taste a bit of chocolate that’s why i called it chocolate chiffon cake.


part A:

8 egg yolks

125 ml canola oil

125 ml water

200 gr plain flour

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp soda kue

chocolate paste

Part B:

8 white eggs

250 ml sugar

1/4 tsp cream of tar-tar

How to Make:

1. Preheat the oven 160′. Sifter the flour, baking powder and soda kue. Add canola oil and water. Mix well then add egg yolk one by one. Mix again until becoming a paste.

2. Using the electric mixer, mix together white eggs, sugar and cream of tar-tar until it stiff.

3. Pour part B into part A and mix well slowly using the spatula. Then add a bit of chocolate paste into the batter.

4. Pour the batter into the chiffon pan. Then bake in the oven for about 1 hr.

5. After it done, try to put the skewer into the cake and it finished when the skewer come out clean. Put the cake upside down and let it cool.

BW Wednesday

This is my sixth time following BW Wednesday challenge hosted by Susan. Just join us in this event, very simple and challenging. I personally really love this challenge. I do love doing BBQ during summer time like now. I did some grilled fish with the whole family.

Banana Cupcake

I love to have banana at home for my boy lunch box. And I love banana actually 🙂 so no wonder if i always bought banana almost every week.


2 cups self-raising flour

3/4 cup caster sugar

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1 large (200gr) banana, mashed

2. 59g eggs, lightly beaten

125g butter, melted, cooled


  1. Preheat oven 180′. Prepare muffin/cupcake pan, put the cupcake patty cases inside the pan.
  2. Combine ingredients into a large bowl. Using an electric mixer beat on low speed until combined; increase speed to medium and beat for about 1 minute or until there are no lumps. Do not over beat.
  3. Divide mixture into prepared patty cases.
  4. Put into oven and cooked for about 20-25 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
